Redstones Residential Sales

Remember to budget when selling your home

If you’re planning to sell your home soon, remember that there will be some costs to factor into the budget you’re working with.

It can be easy to forget to include such costs, so if you want to avoid any nasty surprises down the line, bear these costs in mind:

Estate agency fees – These cover the costs of liaising with other parties involved to get the sale to completion, marketing costs and conducting viewings. Currently, Redstones are receiving a great response to their new launch offer to sell your property from £699, including VAT.  Click here

EPC Certificate – All home sellers in England and Wales must provide an EPC certificate to potential buyers, which documents the energy efficiency of the home. An ‘A’ rating is the most efficient and ‘G’ is the least. Redstones can arrange this easily for sellers.

Conveyancing fees – The legal aspects of selling your property, called conveyancing, are dealt with by a solicitor or legal conveyancer. The cost of conveyancing depends on the sale value of your home.

Removal costs – Don’t forget to factor this in. The costs will depend on how far away you are moving and the amount of possessions you have. Try to compare two or three quotes, as costs can vary.

Managing Director of Redstones, Manjit Virdi says, “We are always up-front with clients on the costs of selling their home and encourage them to budget and research costs where necessary to minimise stress during the process of selling.”
